Q: Can you please explain the concept to me in a few sentences?
A: Absolutely. RapidDraft Playoff Fantasy Football is the same style of fantasy football you play with your buddies. But, it’s “single-user.” You can draft at any time of day or night. Sign-up and do a live draft against 3 online Fantasy Pros. Then compete for the NFL Playoffs.
Q: How do I compete against everyone?
A: You compete based on total points in scored by your team during the NFL Playoffs - starting with the Wild Card Round and culminating with the Super Bowl on February 7, 2010. You also compete weekly.
Q: How many times can I RapidDraft?
A: Once you try it, you’ll love it. And we want to keep the game fair for all. RapidDraft is a totally level playing field. To keep competition fair, one individual consumer is limited to a maximum of three drafts per draft position or a total of 12 Playoff RapidDrafts (3 drafts X 4 draft positions).
Q: What if I have two accounts? How many times can I RapidDraft?
A: Each consumer is limited to one account. If you have created more than one World Fantasy Games account in the past, you must still stay under the limit. If you personally exceed the maximum number of drafts per position overall (by using multiple accounts), all of your teams will be disqualified with no refund.
Q: How do I practice or do a mock draft using RapidDraft?
A: Just do it. Jump in, setup a team, and draft. A few drafts against the Fantasy Pros and you’ll be ready to demolish your local competition. Unlike typical mock drafts, you can win huge prizes by using RapidDraft to mock. Instead of your team dying in the Internet abyss, you have the option to manage your team for the entire season.
Q: What do you mean when you say RapidDraft has a level playing field?
A: You’ve most likely experienced many issues with online leagues and local leagues, right? The list is long. Well, RapidDraft eliminates all of them. 1) Never get a random draft position you don’t like. You select your own draft position in RapidDraft. How cool is that?! 2) Your competition won’t quit. The Pros don’t quit. They can’t. 3) No cheating or collusion – the Pros are robotic general managers - they can’t secretly plan against you. 4) No chumps – nobody is going to draft a Kicker in the 2nd round – which usually results in helping someone else stack their team. 5) No missing a draft – you draft at your convenience. Do you have others? Let us know.
Q: How are players ranked if I do not complete a Custom Player Ranking?
A: We highly recommend that you rank your players before your draft starts. You will find a button on the MY TEAMS page to “Create Custom Player Ranks.” If you rank players, your custom ranking will be used for all of your drafts. Players will be displayed in the Live Draft Module based on the order of your custom ranking. If you choose not to make a Custom Player Ranking, the default World Fantasy Games player ranking is used.
Q: How often do the pros update their player rankings and strategies?
A: Each Fantasy Pro has defined a unique, professional draft strategy and will create and submit a subjective player draft ranking. The draft rankings or player lists are updated often, sometimes hourly, daily, or weekly – based on subjective analysis, breaking player news and research done by each Fantasy Pro. This approach gives you a life-like experience against three competitors that draft like the friends and family you typically compete against in local fantasy football leagues.
Q: During a draft, what is the easiest way to search for a player?
A: RapidDraft comes equipped with a sort function on the draft screen. Simply select the position you are searching for using the Rapid Remote. Then you can sort each player by selecting either the “Name” tab or any statistic tab. Players will be sorted accordingly to make your search quick and easy.
Q: What is the queue, and how do I use it?
A: The Queue is a convenient way for you to create a “wish list” of players that you would like to keep an eye on during the draft. In order to Queue a player select his name in the Live Draft Module and click the “Q Player” button on the Rapid Remote. That player will be added to the top of your Queue. If you would like to rank the players in your Queue, simply drag and drop a player to the desired ranking. The player(s) will be removed from the Queue if they are drafted by one of your competitors. Using the Queue is not required. It is provided as a convenient tool that may provide assistance to Participants. The best RapidDrafters will make all of their picks – no computer picks are guaranteed in any way.
Q: If I put players in my queue and then miss my turn, where will my next selection be taken from?
A: If you do not make a pick before the clock runs out (displays 0:00), the computer will make your pick. The computer will first draft the top player in the Queue (if position maximums have not been reached). If no player is in the Queue or position maximum has been reached, the computer will draft the top player based on custom rank (or WFG Default Rank, if no custom rank has been created). We strongly recommend that you personally make all of your picks. RapidDraft cannot guarantee any picks that are not made by you, the consumer.
Q: Can I change the draft speed after I have started drafting?
A: The draft speed can be changed before the draft and during the draft. At the bottom of the Live Draft Module you may select to draft at Rapid or Warp Speed and you can change speed at any time while drafting. We recommend that you draft once at Rapid Speed, before trying to go to Warp Speed.
Q: Can I see who is on my team during the draft? What about other teams?
A: There are multiple ways to view your team and your competitors’ teams during the draft. In order to get a collective look at what players have been selected you may select the “Draft Board” button on the Rapid Remote. This will open a new window in your Internet browser that shows the working draft board, just like in your local draft! You may also look at each team individually by selecting any numbered button on the Rapid Remote. The numbers correspond with each competitor’s draft position.
Q: Can I pause a draft after it has started?
A: Once the draft has started there is no turning back! You may not stop or pause the draft at any time after you select “Draft Now.” Be sure to watch the How To Play Videos, read the Official Rules and Scoring, and make any team changes including your custom player ranking before starting your draft. There are no refunds. IMPORTANT – you must turn off pop-up blockers before launching the draft room to ensure correct launching of draft and opening of the RapidDraft window.
Q: Are trades allowed?
A: In RapidDraft no trades between teams in a league are allowed.
Q: What is the deadline for me to have my lineup set?
A: You must set your lineup according to each player’s individual game time. Once a game begins the players playing in that game are locked. A player may not be started or benched after being locked.
Q: What if I want to draft a player that is not on your list?
A: We should have any player you’d ever want to draft inside our live draft room. Any eligible player not listed on the site may be added to RapidDraft via an email request to assistant@worldfantasygames.com. Send an email with name, team, and position. A ruling will be made on their eligibility and position. If WFG decides to add the player, allow two business days for the addition.
Q: After a few rounds, if I have to quit drafting, will your default correctly fill out my team?
A: We strongly suggest that you make all of your picks live and in-person. If you leave, RapidDraft will attempt to ensure you have a minimum of a starting roster, BUT nothing is guaranteed.
Q: Are there any subtractions for fumbles or interceptions?
A: No, we take a very positive approach to fantasy football. No negative points!
Q: What is a “value pick” and a “reach pick”? Why are these important?
A: A value pick is the selection of a player that is made 12 picks later than his average draft position (ADP). A reach pick is the selection of a player that is made 12 picks earlier than his ADP. Sometimes it is important to reach so neither of these numbers guarantee success, but they’re fun and that’s what we are all about.
